Baker missed a handful of games with a knee injury and returned last weekend to play against Carolina. He spent all last week as limited on the injury report and was labeled as questionable to play in Sunday’s game against Seattle.
Before Sunday’s game, he was inactivated and spent the game on the sideline.
“Yes, it is a concern,” Smith said. “When you can’t go out and play consecutive games, you have to be concerned about it. Sam’s doing everything he can in terms of getting back out there and we wanted to make sure that he’s 100 percent before we put him back out on the football field.”
In his absence, Lamar Holmes went back to playing left tackle and Jeremy Trueblood took over the right tackle responsibilities.
